Weston House

This stunning garden is a delightful surprise to visit. It is steeply sloping (lots of steps!) east-facing, providing ever-changing views across the valleys and towards the sea. We rarely get frosts (fingers crossed) which allows for some adventurous plant choices. Lots of different areas inc gravel garden, meadow, woodland area with wildlife pond.

About Weston House

We moved here 6 years ago to find a nearly completed landscape project. The specimen trees and shrubs were already here (not necessarily in the same place!) but very little in the way of soft planting (my favourite sort of gardening!). We also inherited a heated swimming pool which lasted a year before the accountant (husband) said ‘No!’ it is now a thriving wildlife pond. A fabulous summerhouse and greenhouse have been added and it gives us huge joy to live in. My next project is to develop a cutting garden, Badgers loved my veg patch too much!

We have also worked hard to welcome other wildlife into the garden and I am always looking for new ideas for different habitats. There is still quite a bit to do (isn’t there always?). Please come and visit us we’d love to share it with you!
