About 103 Dulwich Village
Situated at the rear of a mid-eighteenth century house in the old village of Dulwich, backing onto Dulwich Park, this beautiful garden features plants and shrubs, some unusual, chosen for colour and shape throughout the year.
The long border contains a wide range of herbaceous and other plants and runs in front of a south-facing wall, decked with varied climbers. Spacious child/picnic-friendly lawn. Steps up to a formal lily pond teeming with native fish (Rudd), newts, frogs, dragonflies and other wildlife. The pond is surrounded by a paved area and beds of old roses and other colourful plants. Victorian-style greenhouse with vegetable and soft fruit area beyond.
The present owners have almost entirely replanted the garden over the past 30 years while largely retaining its basic layout. The pond was altered and the greenhouse replaced by the present Victorian-style one. Gate to 105 next door.
Music provided by the Colomb Street Ensemble Wind Band.
