About 19 Belgrave Road
Ceramicist Gill is opening her inspirational and colourful garden; a wonderfully diverse garden with long, curved borders and all round texture, interest and colour. Throughout the garden the owners have planted with the aim of providing food and homes for local birds, attract pollinators and a wide biodiversity with a variety of trees, shrubs, acers, grasses, roses, shrubs and perennials.
The textures, colour harmonies, and contrasts become evident as you walk through the garden. One side of the garden is shaded and planted with ferns and other shade loving plants. The opposite is very much in the sun and planted with shrubs, annuals and the odd vegetable!
The patio has an abundance of pots including dahlias, trees, hostas, heucheras, succulents and tomatoes.
At the rear of the garden there is secluded pebbled area shielded from overlooking properties by large structural plants including cercis, sambucus, dahlias, colocasias, and Japanese anemones. This leads to a ceramic studio where Gill uses many of her plants and incorporates them into her work. Throughout the garden are sculptural ceramics and recycled found objects.
