About Broomfield Hall
There are 25 acres of beautiful educational gardens at Broomfield Hall – the land based campus of Derby College. Within the Victorian gardens there is a large walled garden divided into themed areas, a plant centre, a long herbaceous border, rose garden, tropical garden, ornamental grasses, winter garden, prairie plantings, Japanese styled garden, Fuchsia collection, and woodland walks brimming with many beautiful tree specimens.
We offer homemade cakes and refreshments at the pop-up volunteer café and provide garden tours, light entertainment, plant and garden specialists such as bonsai, Fuchsia, cacti, alpine and carnivorous.
A gem of Derbyshire.
Plant centre open every day, reduced opening hours Jan/Feb – see Facebook at ‘Broomfield Hall Gardens and Plant Centre’ or Derby College Website
