Caisson House

This is a wonderfully eclectic and romantic garden set in the most beautiful English countryside around a Georgian house built in 1815. It is a mix of herbaceous borders, topiaries, ponds and rills, a walled garden with fruit trees, greenhouses, flower and vegetable beds. There are wildflower meadows surrounding the garden and the disused Somerset Coal Canal running through the property.

About Caisson House

2 acre garden set around a Georgian house originally built for the chief engineer of the Somerset Coal Canal, featuring 15 dry canal locks that run throughout the 40 acre property. The garden and surrounding wildflower meadows and woodland have been restored over the last 12 years, with a focus upon reclaimed materials, regenerative gardening and soil health.

Varied and romantic garden with interest from spring bulbs through to autumn colour. The inner planting of herbaceous borders, architectural topiary and parterres lead into meandering paths that reveal ponds and meadows replete with wildlife.
