Cupani Garden

Cupani is a mature, secluded garden offering a delightful mix of trees, shrubs, perennial borders, and a changing display of pots. Features inc a courtyard garden, gazebo, summerhouse, water features, sweet pea obelisks, raised beds, a Mediterranean bed, and planted troughs, creating a riot of colour in June/July.

About Cupani Garden

A compact garden but one to linger in; a tranquil garden that offers the visitor a series of gardens beds to wander through, from a formal courtyard garden through perennial herbaceous borders, and much more. Trees, shrubs, roses and sweet pea obelisks frame the garden and the gentle sound of water from the sculpted water features adds to the peace and harmony. Plenty of seating throughout the garden (some under cover). This visit will provide a real treat for everyone.

Parking
Visitors are asked to park in surrounding streets (free parking) as Sandgate Close is a cul de sac.

Accessibility
The garden has flat paths throughout but has two steps down to the courtyard and a steep step to the WC (regrettably not wheelchair accessible).

Additional Information

Children welcome. Well behaved small dogs on a lead also welcome. Family support work will be providing teas on Seaford Gardens Open Day in July. Ice cream & cold drinks available on all dates.

Visits by arrangement information
In June and July we open for private bookings. Six people minimum (but if less you may be able to book while another group is visiting). Either afternoon tea or lunch is included in the private visits and must be booked in advance. Phone Aideen on 01323 899452 to make a booking.

Great venue for group outings or celebrations, we can provide a Birthday cake if booked in advance. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Directions to Cupani Garden
Turn R off Alfriston Rd onto Hillside Ave, then take 2nd L, 1st R, & 1st R again. Park in adjoining streets. Bus 12A (Brighton/Eastbourne), get off at Millberg Rd stop & walk down the alley to garden.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from June to 15 July for groups of between 6 and 14.
