East Woodlands is a beautiful RHS inspired and designed garden full of rooms packed with plants, shrubs and trees. Enjoy the spectacular bamboos, flowing grasses alongside rose, Mediterranean, Japanese, cottage and bog gardens (unfenced pond), all set in an acre looking out over N Devon countryside. Occasional live music. Lots of seating areas.

About East Woodlands Farmhouse

East Woodlands is a beautiful RHS inspired and designed garden which is now around 25 years old and well established. Visitors say how very peaceful and loved the garden feels and come back time and again to enjoy its many ‘rooms’ and quiet areas to sit down and enter a world of beauty and calmness away from this busy world! We are surrounded by fields of sheep in gorgeous Devon countryside looking across to Yarnscombe and Exmoor.

A rarity to be enjoyed is the Koelreuteria Paniculata (Golden Indian Rain Tree) with its summer spires of yellow blooms and autumnal red Chinese lanterns.

From the platform of the green oak summerhouse you can sit down and listen to the flowing stream down to the pond and look out across the bog garden surrounding it.
