About Glasfryn Hall

Glasfryn Hall is a splendid Victorian villa in Caerwys, Flintshire and is home to the Roberts family. It is surrounded by 3 acres of formal gardens that are divided into distinct areas, including a croquet lawn, pond garden, walled parterre, woodland walk and tennis court. Mature trees are dispersed across the site. The gardens offer fabulous views across farmland to the Clwydian Hills.

The property is also home to one of the leading art galleries in Wales. Oriel Glasfryn Gallery opened in 2022 and for the the first time this year’s open gardens will co-incide with one of it’s special exhibitions meaning that both the house and main gallery will be open, displaying the work of more than 40 leading Welsh artists, including painters, ceramicists, jewellers and sculptors.

The horsebox cafe will also be open, serving tea, coffee, cakes, ice-cream, wine, spirits and beers from Wales. Note that seating is outdoors, although shelters are provided during inclement weather

Follow signs for Caerwys from the A55 N Wales expressway or the A541 Mold/ Denbigh Rd. Garden is at Oriel Glasfryn Gallery, which is clearly signed at the S end of the town.
