Isaacson’s

Warmed and sheltered by the medieval walls of a C14 house (the oldest in Burwell) the garden is richly diverse in format and planting. There are 'theatres' (auricula, pinks), hints of Snowdonia, the Mediterranean, and a French potager, Anglesey Abbey in the snowdrop season and much else. Throughout there are many interesting, unusual and rare plants. Around each corner a new vista surprises.

About Isaacson’s

Isaacson’s was formerly a medieval Lodging Range. The hints of Snowdonia are through slate, ferns and water; the Mediterranean from Oleander, Acanthus and Hibiscus. There are also unusual apples (Five Crown Pippin, Court Pendu Plat, Cornish Gilliflower etc); a collection of epimediums; old-fashioned dianthus and much else. The garden was awarded first prize in the 2021 village garden competition and was also awarded first prize for greatest diversity of planting.
