About King John's Nursery

The nursery garden has been organically growing over the last few years. With projects constantly in the pipeline it is constantly changing. the two small gardens within the high hornbeam hedges have personalities of their own. The wildmeadow is a truly wild affair full of camassias and daffodil thalia in spring alongside snakeshead fritillaries but the it becomes truly wild and buzzes with insect life in summer.

A new rose garden is being planted in the Autumn of 2024 below the meadow before you head through the long border. A shady walk through the trees and the old meadow ends with a blast of colour with the cutting garden.

The nursery sells lots of unusual plants and the shop is a treasure trove of tools, homeware and vintage finds alongside stoneware pots, statuary and plant supports.
