About Lympne Castle

Lympne Castle in Kent features gardens of historical interest, overlooking Romney Marsh, the English Channel and France beyond. The gardens have contrasting styles and full of seasonality. The ornamental garden with its Italianate theme is designed around a central formal lily pond with ornate fountain. Comprising of an equine topiary collection, clipped parterre box hedging, statues and seating under a pergola, not forgetting the topiary ducks!
Visit the restored productive kitchen garden with apple orchard, an ancient mulberry tree and south facing lean to greenhouse.
Spring bulb displays frame the manicured lawns, and more bulb displays in the planning for autumn 2025. There are established wisterias, providing beautiful May blooms in three different areas of the gardens.
And don’t forget to get your photo beside the topiary horse drawn carriage!
