About Manor House

A magical village setting in the pretty Meon Valley with views to Beacon Hill fort and Old Winchester Hill. An enchanting mature walled garden, surrounding a Grade II listed house. Folklore says that the house was awarded to the executioner of King Charles 1. There is a doorway into the church of St Peters and St Pauls.

Yew hedges and flint walls divide the 1 acre into ‘rooms’ with a White Garden planted with Annabelle and Limelight hydrangeas, Carpet White and Chandos Beauty roses. Herbaceous borders with colourful cottage garden favourites; delphiniums, roses, geraniums and salvias.

A secluded highly productive walled vegetable garden, a parterre with fountain plus a woodland area carpeted in spring with snowdrops, aconites, daffodils and hellebores, a newly planted wild flower meadow, geraniums and salvias
