Norwood Park

The grounds of Norwood Park date back to medieval times when they were part of a series of deer parks. A new garden on the south front of the C18 house was created in 2021 to showcase plants for all seasons. To the west a lime avenue lined with snowdrops and daffodils leads on to Mrs. Delaney's Path to the ornamental temple.

About Norwood Park

Come and join us in February as we open our gardens for the first buds of spring.

The 18c saw the creation of a classical house, a lime avenue, an ornamental temple, fish ponds, and a walled garden at Norwood Park.

The estate is now a vibrant leisure, wedding, and fruit-growing enterprise.

Enjoy the new garden showcasing plants for all seasons which was laid out along the south front of the house in 2021. From the garden there are beautiful views of the surrounding park and a vista to Southwell Minster.

Past the West Pavilion continue into the Lime Avenue where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful snowdrops and daffodils.

Venture through the trees, along the deer park boundary, and up Mrs Delaney’s sinuous path to the impressive Temple, where we will offer our warm Bramley apple punch.

Descend through the apple orchards (did you know the Bramley apple originated in Southwell?) in the direction of the golf club where you can buy hot food and drinks.

The walk is approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour dependent on pace, closer to 1 hour especially when you allow yourself time to stop at the Temple.

Please wear suitable footwear as some of the paths can be muddy or uneven. If you are bringing a dog, please ensure they are kept on a lead.
