Opened in 2025, Pond Cottage, a converted C19 former farm building, sits within 3 acres of gardens comprising 2 acres of meadow with trees and an old orchard contrasting with a formal acre of mixed borders, Mediterranean courtyard and wildlife pond. A key feature of the garden are varieties of roses, over 100 plants in all, that ensures colour throughout the season.

About Pond Cottage

The gardens were first designed and planted by Nicky, the current owner, in the 1990s when she lived at Pond Cottage with her young family. After re-acquiring the property in 2020, she reclaimed her original garden from the brambles, nettles, and bindweed that had taken hold, while carefully restoring the house itself. Today, the garden continues to evolve, a living work in progress.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from 25 May to September for groups of between 15 and 50.
