Southcot, The Green

⅓ acre wildlife friendly garden on 2 levels with lawns, colourful perennial planted borders and raised vegetable beds. A cobbled path winds through a shady border to rose swags with clematis and roses intertwined. Shallow steps lead down to a lower level of more informal planting and a large natural pond containing crested newt. Pergolas supporting hops, sweet peas and roses add height to borders.

About Southcot, The Green

Garden has developed over 30 years by the present owner as various small pockets of land were bought and the garden extended, hence the garden slopes and turns down to a large pond. The small gradients have allowed quiet seating areas and sloping paths to be developed.

Wildlife interest in Great crested Newts, hedgehogs. Insect houses and butterfly friendly planting.
