About Stoney Hill House

Garden and woodland of approx 1-acre providing a secluded secret green oasis in the city. Paths meander through mature rhododendron, oak, yew and holly trees, offset by pieces of contemporary sculpture. The garden is on a slope and a number of viewpoints set at different heights provide varied perspectives. The planting in the top part of the garden is fluid and flows seamlessly into the woodland.
Children can enjoy playing in the woods where there are swings and a tree-house and plenty of space to run about.
In 2016 we added a living wooden scuplture of a giant redwood cone, carved from one of the oak trees damaged in high winds.
As always there will be delicious home-made cakes, chilled prosecco and bottomless mugs of tea available. Linger on the lawn, savour the cakes, and, all being well, soak up the sunshine!
