The Paddock

A mini arboretum in which 70 trees are tagged - some of which are rare. The collection inc 12 different acers and a cluster of six Gingko bilobas. A waterfall cascades through three levels. As the new owner since 2001, I see myself as the custodian of an impressive small garden.

About The Paddock

The site was developed in the 1960’s by Tom Leake, the motoring correspondent of the Shropshire Star but its present form dates from the 1980’s when Mr & Mrs Steward introduced a large number of trees and bushes, creating a mini-arboretum in which 70 trees are tagged – some of which are rare. The collection includes 12 different Acers which provide spectacular autumn colour in front garden and back. There is also a cluster of 6 Ginkgo Bilobas.
