About Woodend House
This is a pretty garden with careful and unusual plant combinations. The use of colour is important to the owner and the garden is interesting throughout the year. Always developing we are working (and losing the lawn in favour of plants) on a new shade area destined for a collection of hydrangea.
The garden lies near the boundary of the National Park and close to Ennerdale valley. There are a number of good beaches nearby incl. St Bees (and the start of the coast-to-coast route) and Seascale. The Georgian town of Whitehaven is close by. Close to cycleways.
