Anvil Cottage

Essentially, this is a plantsman's garden. Winding paths lead through a series of themed rooms with familiar, rare and unusual plants. Steps lead up to a raised viewpoint looking west towards Caradon Hill and Bodmin Moor. Other paths take you on a circular route through a rose garden, hot beds, a tropical area and a secret garden.

About Anvil Cottage

LikeTopsy, this garden just grew and grew. The pandemic has forced us to clear out a lot of overgrown areas, and to try and make it easier to maintain. We have listened to the comments of regular visitors, and hope you will like the changes .There is now a new herbaceous border, in the rose garden with a wild life pond. There are also new pergolas with new roses.

Head N on A388 from Callington centre. After ½m L onto South Hill Rd (signed South Hill), straight on for 3m. Gardens on R just before St Sampson's Church.

You can just turn up and pay on the day.

Refreshments Tea, coffee & cake. Refreshments served next door at Windmills. Gluten free available. Refreshments in aid of Parkinson Foundation.
