About Avon Dassett Gardens
Pretty Hornton stone village sheltering in the lee of the Burton Dassett hills. A wide variety of gardens inc cottage, stepped, formal and wildlife friendly, with The Old Rectory mentioned in the Domesday Book. A range of plants inc alpines, herbaceous, perennials, roses, climbers, shrubs and even a topiary elephant. The gardens are on or off the main road through the village which is set on a long and steep hill. We would be grateful if visitors could park in designated areas and not along this main road. Plant sales, home-made teas and an historic church open. Lunch available at The Yew Tree, a community-owned pub.
