Caswallon

Large historic garden which had been under years of undergrowth. We have discovered formal gardens, an ancient well, crumbling dry stone walls and steps carved into bedrock. Take one of our meandering paths and explore small woodland dells and a walled garden. Everyday is an adventure as there is always more to discover.

About Caswallon

We are now seven years into restoring our amazing garden. Spring was spent tiding up the damage caused by the winter storms. We have very little shelter being so elevated. Lots of time spent recently on the stone walls basically rebuilding and making them safe. We have decided to put another entrance into the walled garden. This was started last year, my goal this winter is to get it finished. Then creating another set of steps up the grass embankment hopefully continuing the nature flow of the garden. We would also like to do more in the ruin of the old hot house in the walled garden. We have recently cleared another wooded dell revealing yet another ancient stone wall (not found any obvious way into this area but will keep clearing). This will make a stunning blue bell walk in spring. Please come and see the progress this summer.
