About Goadby Marwood Hall

The gardens were restored in 2000 and the lakes were dredged and the ironstone walls were rebuilt after having been virtually lost in the jungle.
The owner trained at the Chelsea Physic Garden and at Barnsley House for Rosemary Verey. Cherry Walk divides Top Lake to Garden Lake which is divided from Park Lake by a bridge. Nanny’s garden leads to the Children’s Garden which leads to the croquet Lawn and Ha Ha and 13th century Church, which overlooks the south front of the Hall. The Secret Garden leads to the orchard and Rose Garden, then onto the Tennis Court Garden and Gravel Courtyard.
