About Greatcombe

Greatcombe gardens is a tranquil and inspiring hidden gem of a garden nestled in a Dartmoor valley, with a stream running through swathes of colour and textual foliage. Gentle paths and lawns bordered by spring and summer flowering shrubs, herbaceous plants and ornamental grasses, plus a large collection of acers and hydrangeas. ‘The Stairway to Devon’ climbs through loosely planted banks featuring both cultivated shrubs and wild flowers. ‘Just Wow! Colour, shapes, planting – Thank you for the joy!!’ (visitor comment) Sumptuous home-made cream teas and cakes. Plant Nursery offering a wide variety of plants from the garden. Artist’s Studio with paintings and cards for sale. ‘Made by Robbie’ metalwork artefacts and garden supports for sale. ‘I visit every year and it just gets better and better -Well done NGS!!’ (Visitor comment).
