About Home Close, Sibford Ferris
This Arts and Crafts house (not open) and gardens were designed by renowned architect M H Baillie-Scott at the turn of the 20th Century.
Set in a 2 acre garden with wonderful structure from its Arts and Crafts origins you will find a continually evolving set of garden rooms.
Entering from the rear of the property through the orchard of apples, pears and plums down to the wonderfully productive kitchen garden and gradually down to the fragrant herb garden and main house featuring an impressive Italianate courtyard garden with central pool.
Take the stone steps rising to a rose parterre, herbaceous borders, White Garden and central lawn, wild flower meadow, nut walk with wildlife pond and back to the orchard via the cottage sundial garden. Lots of 1920’s original photos of the house and garden as it was when first built through to its decline and its recent renovation to the garden you see today.
