About Larch Cottage Nurseries
With over 15,000 varieties of plants, surrounded by lushly planted flower borders and encased within Romanesque walls draped in greenery, the gardens at Larch are a place of inspiration and delight to many. This year, for 3 days only, we are opening our new lower gardens and chapel for National Garden Scheme visitors. The lower gardens have been designed by Peter and include lawned areas, wide flowing perennial borders, a wealth of rare and unusual shrubs, trees and a small orchard. A natural stream meanders through the borders and on into a small man-made lake, a haven for wildlife and birds. At the head of the lake stands a small chapel, designed and built by Peter. The chapel interior has been frescoed by artist James Walsh and is for family use only.
