Maple Barn

Visitors enter along a decorative gravel drive framed by specimen trees and shrubs, before discovering a terraced garden with raised beds, a lawn bordered by rectangular herbaceous planting, and a well-stocked contemporary pond. A greenhouse and layered terraces create a sense of variety and calm. A spacious artist’s studio hosts a small exhibition of floral, landscape and abstract artworks.

About Maple Barn

Designed in 2015, this contemporary country garden has been proudly opening to visitors with the National Garden Scheme for the past ten years.

The approach begins at a wooden-clad eco house, where a gravel drive is framed by shrubs and specimen trees. From the central patio, steps rise to a lawn edged with rectangular herbaceous beds, a greenhouse, and peaceful seating areas. To the left, you’ll find a contemporary fish pond which adds texture and movement, and the studio of artist and garden owner Wendi Weller, where floral, landscape, and abstract paintings come to life. Visitors are warmly invited to look around and enjoy a curated exhibition of current work.
At the top of the garden it offers far-reaching views across the Warwickshire countryside.

Continually evolving, the garden reflects the changing seasons and the creative spirit of its owners.
