Mayfield Gardens

Mayfield is a beautiful Wealden village with tearooms, an old pub and many interesting historical connections. The gardens to visit are all within walking distance of the village centre. They vary in size and style with a wide range of shrubs, herbaceous and annual planting and inc wildflower meadows, fruit and vegetable plots, mature trees and colourful pot displays. There are far-reaching, panoramic views over the beautiful High Weald.

About Mayfield Gardens

This year we have a group of three gardens:
Airlie Cottage
This is an going restoration project involving new planting schemes, borders and layouts, complementing the former plantsman’s garden.

South Street Plots:
Eight plots in traditional allotment style growing vegetables, fruit and flowers. Superb views

The Oast:
A one-acre garden with imaginative planting, wildflower meadow, trees, shrubs, vegetables and fruit. Featured in The English Garden, RHS The Garden and Gardening Which? magazines.
