About Serendi

This year we are aiming for a bulb bonanza of snowdrops and other spring delights combined with a wonderful Wisteria display and alliums in bud. A silver birch grove, under planted with bulbs & perennials, plus a ‘dribble’ of large stones set in gravel with grasses & sculpture.

Meander through the arch to the water rill and mirror area with acers, topiary, hostas & perennials emerging. Roses are working their way up the 5 pillars, Rambling Rector is well established as is Champagne Moments now 8ft tall.

Around the lawn in other beds there are magnolias, Indian bean tree, wallflowers, more bulbs, clematis & winter flowering shrubs. Perennials, dahlias and cannas take over in the summer months. This exuberance is contrasted with the underlying structure of topiary, contemporary knot garden & gravel area.

The greenhouse & cold frame are packed with over wintered plants, emerging seedlings & succulents. Stop on the patio for refreshments and to view the photo book & articles about the garden. The Griffin Glasshouse is home to, clivias, tibochina, pelargonium, aeonium and more. Don’t miss the back yard & Curiosities Wall an idea ‘lifted’ from Highgrove.
