The Grange

Over four acres of wonderfully varied garden set in the grounds of Victorian house (not open) with mature trees and panoramic views towards The Gateway to the Dales. The garden has been restored and expanded by the owners over the past three decades. Bountiful herbaceous borders with many unusual species, rose walk, parterre, mini-meadows and water features.

About The Grange

Over 4 acres of pretty gardens surrounding the Victorian house, which originated from 1850, the garden has been sensitively restored and extended over the last three decades, with a firm emphasis on the importance and effect of our green spaces and the natural world. The garden is richly planted with many features, using a variety of unusual, home grown, species.
All the plants for sale, for the charity, can be viewed within the garden.

Topiary and large greenhouse. Extensive vegetable and cut flower beds. Oak seating placed throughout the garden invites quiet contemplation - a place to 'lift the spirits'.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from July to August for groups of 20+.
