About Tower House
Tower House, a folly, built on the orders of Benjamin Flounders in (we think) 1838 makes a pair with his more well known folly on Callow Hill.
The garden, of just under two acres, is inherently designed with the unparalleled views of the Corvedale very much in mind.
Created gradually over 50yrs by Priscilla, (when her porcelain painting allows,) she boasts formal and ‘meadow’ flowers, vegetables, closely mown lawns, a small apple orchard and a small wooded area in the quarry.
A small pond attracts, not only a weight of autumnal leaf drop, but also the occasional spring attention of a grass snake, heron and kingfisher.
