About Tower House
Tower House, a folly, built on the orders of Benjamin Flounders in (we think) 1838 is in almost a direct line between his more well known folly on Callow Hill and Ludlow Church Tower.
The garden, of just under two acres, is inherently designed with the unparalleled views of the Corvedale very much in mind.
Created gradually over 50yrs by Priscilla, (when her porcelain painting allows,) the garden boasts both formal and ‘meadow’ flowers, vegetables, closely mown lawns, a small apple orchard and a small wooded area in the old quarry.
A good sized pond attracts the occasional spring attention of a grass snake, heron, kingfisher amphibians; the goldfish survive somewhat against those odds.
