About Tyn Y Pant

At around 1½ acres this tranquil, sheltered rural garden is surrounded by farmland and deciduous woodland 3 miles from the coast. There is plenty of interest year-round, in spring banks of bluebells greet you on the drive to the main garden, wisteria clothe the front of the cottage, and a growing collection of snowdrops and daffodils are a delight.

Developing around mature trees, shrubs and ponds the owners are constantly adding to the planting and features, growing plants from seeds and cuttings, relying heavily on recycling, reusing and repurposing materials for construction. There are a plethora of places to sit and take a moment to relax unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

The garden is run organically and is a haven for all sort of wildlife from bugs to small mammals. A productive vegetable garden was the first addition and includes a polytunnel and raised beds. Recently a large greenhouse, pavilion, acer glade and mixed borders were added. Plans are being developed to add a large orchard and beehives.
