About Vernon Cottage
An established garden with colour from early Spring into Autumn. Many changes and improvements have been made over the last 5 years by the current owners including laying out a ‘no dig’ style productive cutting patch and good size greenhouse. This year Emma has stepped back from selling home grown bouquets and is now growing her flowers for pleasure along with vegetables. She takes great pleasure in propogating annuals and perennials from seed and cuttings so there will be a large plant stall to tempt you with 10% of the proceeds donated to the NGS. Teas and delicious cakes will be served on the patio/lawn area, surrounded by hostas, acers and pretty planting. There are 4 compost bays hidden away producing enough compost for mulching most of the ‘no dig’ garden areas each year and some containers. The owners also have access to a friends alpaca poo and well rotted farm manure, helping to nourish the garden.
