The garden is divided into different rooms each with its own theme. The back garden is dominated by large trees that are under planted with shade loving plants and sunnier areas accommodate colour-themed perennials. A lower terrace contains a wildlife pond and bog garden with ferns and astilbes, with the recent addition of an African boma. Pathways link different zones and lead to an enchanted child’s garden and play area. Wheelchair access has been improved.

The front garden includes a formal white garden, rose border and cutting garden. Seating areas are interspersed throughout the garden offering shady and sunny vantage points.
