About Appleyards

2 acre, newly restored (6 years now) garden, which is sloping and south facing, looking over pasture and New Forest in the distance. Planted with 100+ trees (containing ornamental trees and mature natives), wide sloping lawns, circular paths (chippings) and bridges though wooded sections with massed daffodils and bluebells in spring. Newly planted rhododendrons in wooded area. Garden contains herbaceous beds, two mature rose beds, large shrubberies, two wildlife ponds (one with small jetty), orchard (12 young, 5 year-old trees), sloping gravel/rockery beds with ornamental pond, walk-in soft fruit cages, greenhouse.

Ample seating throughout garden. Gravel approach to house and steps which are unfortunately difficult for wheelchairs.

Parking for 8 cars only – pre-booking essential for specific time slot and to ensure parking space, please phone 01425 657631 or email [email protected] to reserve car park space. No parking on narrow road.

Home-made teas include teas, coffee etc and a selection of home-made cakes.
