Daglingworth House

Over the last 30 yrs we have created a 3 acre classical garden with a humorous contemporary twist. There is a grotto, a Temple, a walled garden, woodland, small grass and meadow gardens, and a sunken garden. Pools, a mirror canal, a cascade, topiary shapes, good hedging and sculptures. Pretty village setting next to Saxon Church.

About Daglingworth House

A pretty garden surrounding a Georgian house in a beautiful Cotswold village setting, beside the Saxon church. David and Etta Howard have gardened here since 1994, and have made a classical garden, with wonderful views and vistas with a contemporary twist.
Hot and cool herbaceous borders are enhanced by unusual planting. There are two
rills beside the Temple, a Beech House, and wildflower area. Good hedges of yew, beech, cotoneaster and stilted hornbeam, which edge the large reflective canal, add to the delight. There is a sunken garden with a cloud pool. A walled garden with a cotswold stone pillared and oak pergola gives strength and depth to the structure, with peonies, phloxes, and candelabra roses in July. An ironwork arbor with white roses is a centrepiece of the walled garden. This is a garden with humour, good design and inspirational ideas and definitely reflects the enthusiasm and character of its owners! Filmed by ITV “Love Your Garden” and featured in ‘The English Garden’ magazine.
