Beautiful 2 acre garden 400 ft. up complemented by stunning views of the South Shropshire Hills. It has been lovingly created over the last 20 years by the previous owners and now with new custodians, a young family who fell in love with Edge Villa and Shropshire.
Self-sufficient vegetable plot beloved by voles and mice. Resident guard dog (one friendly black labrador) declines to keep them under control.
Productive orchard providing fruit and apple juice for the house and damson gin to cheer up winter. Also home to the chickens when not predated by local live-stock.
Large herbaceous borders with many unusual plants and fragrant roses. Shade border underplanted with cardiocrinum, camassias, anemones, dieramas and bulbs. All borders are mulched every year with 20 tons of cowmuck kindly donated by farming neighbours.
Recent addition has been a small Wendy house for visiting children with its own vegetable plot. Riding toys on tennis court. Also features a nut cage to protect hazel nuts and home to a family of Japanese Quail.
