About Slade
Snowdrop opening in February. A peaceful winter garden with drifts of snowdrops, including some very special varieties, alongside hellebores and cyclamen. Hidden away in a wonderful position Slade garden is an unexpected jewel to discover right next to the sea with views overlooking the Bristol Channel. The garden tumbles down a secluded valley from the house at the top, protected by a long belt of woodland.
In front of the house and nearby cottages are delightful formal areas with a rose and clematis pergola and herbaceous borders in front of stone walls. From terraced lawns great sweeps of grass stretch down the hill, at this time of year enlivened by snowdrops spring bulbs, and other early flowering plants. Woodland walks and ponds create a natural setting.
