About Whichford & Ascott Gardens
Many visitors find the gardens of Whichford and Ascott group are a very special discovery.
They are hidden away in a valley on the South West edge of the County of Warwickshire where the heavy clay has contributed difficult but ultimately rewarding soil conditions.
The gardens have been chosen to provide great interest to the garden lover, and include a completely new garden, a postage stamp garden, a cottage garden, the garden of the owners of the Pottery and several of the type of sumptuous country house garden. The garden at Whichford Pottery is not normally open to the public as it is Jim & Dominique’s private space but has some wonderful sculpture and quirky ideas.
All these gardens display the owners’ interest in plants, and appreciation of the English garden tradition
