About Southgate Barn
We are not plantsmen but we love colour and design, some formality mixed with fun, nature friendly planting.
A 1¼ acre garden full of interest and a borrowed view. Woodland area with specimen trees, pond, gravel garden, wisteria arch, large terrace with box balls. Yew, hornbeam and beech hedging. Colourful herbaceous borders. Designed and planted from scratch by Tim Lees in 1980, restored from 2019 (in the current owners style) after being rented out for many years.
