Planting positivity with David Austin in 2021

Synonymous with roses, David Austin is an enduring favourite with gardeners for the beautiful range and quality of their plants, and now there’s another reason to love their blooms!

In 2021 the David Austin ‘Planting Positivity’ programme – which supports charities – will include donations to the National Garden Scheme through the sale of three of its roses including the newly launched Nye Bevan and our very own The Generous Gardener which was named to mark the 75th anniversary of the National Gardens Scheme in 2002.

Named to celebrate the generosity of our garden owners in allowing access to their beautiful, private spaces, in 2021 David Austin are adding even more generosity to the lovely, English climbing rose The Generous Gardener by making a £2.50 donation from the sale of each rose. In fact, three roses will contribute to a shared pot in support of the National Garden Scheme, the NHS Charities Together and the Alexandra Rose charity. They are:

About The Generous Gardener

This stunning climber bears beautifully formed flowers, which nod gracefully on the stem. When the petals open they expose numerous stamens, providing an almost water lily-like effect. The flowers are a pale glowing pink and have a delicious fragrance with aspects of Old Rose, musk and myrrh.
