A garden with particular interest in the spring, having a wide range of bulbs in flower, inc unusual named varieties of anemone, hellebore, hepatica and crocus. The garden’s main feature are the snowdrops, collected since 2008. Named varieties, flowering between November and March, will interest snowdrop collectors. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 12th February to 24th February for groups of up to 12. The garden will be open to visit and book by arrangement in February of 2025.
Elizabethan farmhouse (not open) set in 4 acres of constantly developing garden and woodland with spectacular views over Severn Vale. Garden full of surprises, formal and informal areas planted with wide range of species to provide year-round interest. Parterre, topiary, Japanese garden, bog and prairie areas, white and hot gardens, woodland walks. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 15th May to 13th September for groups of between 20 and 50.
Hidden Victorian walled garden. You’ll encounter substantial mixed borders containing traditional and contemporary planting. Large lawns, numerous seating areas, summerhouse and French inspired patio with coppiced lime trees. Parterre and large raised Koi pond surrounded by bananas and tree ferns. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 20th May to 28th July for groups of up to 25.
A variety of garden areas separated by old walls and hedges. Mixed borders, several of which are newly-planted, lawns, wall planting, parterre, rill garden, walled vegetable garden, cottage beds, pool garden, dry gardens, peach house and greenhouse. Bees, chickens and meadow area. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to September for groups of between 15 and 30.
Stunning in all seasons. 1 acre garden on edge of Duchy of Cornwall village. Herbaceous borders and formal lawns and terraces; informal garden of trees and long grass, bulbs and meadow flowers; formal potager and greenhouse; small orchard with espalier apple trees. Tulips, wisteria, alliums, foxgloves, gladioli, dahlias, asters. Wonderful views. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 10th May to September for groups of 20+.
A hidden haven of peace and tranquillity in a city suburb. Full of unusual objects forming screens and plant supports. Horticultural interest at every level for all seasons. Places to sit and dream, secret paths, spaces for unusual plants and wildlife. Kids find the dragons for a prize! Opens for By Arrangement visits from May to August for groups of between 10 and 30.
For tree lovers of all ages! In addition to the 260 yr old Lucombe Oak – registered as one of the most significant trees in the UK – there are over 30 mature English trees planted together with ferns and bluebells to create an urban woodland – plus a newly designed Arts & Crafts front garden. A new path through the woodland provides a behind the scenes look at the garden. Opens for By Arrangement visits from June to 29th September for groups of up to 30.
Incorporating ‘Sculpture to Enhance a Garden’ at its June opening this south facing garden on the edge of the city has unusual and exotic plants, vegetable garden, wildlife pond, greenhouse, treehouse and swing, late summer colour, fabulous views and a sunny terrace overlooking the garden where light lunches, cream teas and home-made cakes are served. Pieces of sculpture are for sale. Opens for By Arrangement visits from June to September for groups of between 8 and 20.
7 acre hillside garden offering panoramic views from its upper levels, with herbaceous and shrub beds, prairie-style scree beds, orchard, native copses and small, labelled arboretum grouped by continents. Large wildlife pond, boundary stream and wooded area featuring shade and moisture-loving plants. Opens for By Arrangement visits from March to October for groups of up to 40.
¾ acre mature Edwardian garden with colour-themed, informally planted herbaceous borders. Strong framework separating several different areas; pergola with varied wisteria, unusual topiary, box hedging, lime walk, pleached hornbeams, cordon fruit trees, 2 small formal ponds and growing collection of clematis.
