The garden surrounds a C16 Grade II listed thatched cottage. It is walled and split into the front and back. The site is about ⅓ of an acre with over 80 Japanese acers, a magnificent walnut tree, and mature silver birch. The borders are packed an provide all year seasonal interest, and a lawn filled with wildflowers rather than just grass. Developing this garden for year-round interest and minimal maintenance has presented significant challenges. Soil varies from heavy clay to light sand via glacial chalk. This is a family friendly garden with plenty of seating areas to take in the views. Church View is a country garden which inc a small flower farm. There are many old fashioned scented roses, both shrub and climbing, plus herbaceous borders, raised growing beds and two polytunnels.
