A chance to visit the unique and beautiful gardens surrounding Bhaktivedanta Manor at the Hare Krishna Temple. Our gardens consist of the peaceful George Harrison Garden- dedicated to the late Beatle, a woodland, and a rose garden. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour and meet the Head Gardener. Contemporary space sympathetically redesigned in 2017 to keep many of the existing plants, trees and shrubs from a 1930s semi’s garden. Modern take on the classic garden in two halves: ornamental and vegetable. A plantsman’s garden containing unusual trees and shrubs on the edge of a wood. The shrubs and trees in the middle garden surround a pond and create an air of relaxing tranquillity. A garden with mature fruit trees is planted for interest throughout the year. The structure of the garden evolved around three circles- two grass lawns and a wildlife pond. Town garden of around a ⅓ acre with naturalistic planting inspired by the Dutch garden designer, Piet Oudolf. The garden has perennial borders plus a small meadow packed with herbaceous plants and grasses. A town garden to surprise the visitor. Dense planting with the ever-present sound of trickling water creates an intimate and welcoming oasis of calm. By taking the narrow paths, each of which divides, thereby continually offering a choice of direction, the visitor will be able to find several different routes around the garden where they can come across the many features the garden has to offer.
