Special Garden Events in Kent

These are a small number of gardens where the open day events offer something extra such a talk by the head gardener, special refreshments or privileged access. Click on the links below to find out more about the garden and book tickets.

THE PIG at Bridge Place, Canterbury

Head east to THE PIG-at Bridge Place to gather in the grounds of THE PIG’s Kent patch and see all that’s growing! THE PIG’s friendly team of Kitchen Gardeners will meet you at 10:30am for tea, coffee and pastries before a tour to show you everything from their fruit cages to their mushroom house. You’ll also be joined by Ollie Hutson, THE PIG’s Group Head Kitchen Gardener, who’ll share his extensive knowledge on all things homegrown. Once you have worked up an appetite, you’ll head over to THE PIG’s Garden Oven, which sits at the heart of the Kitchen Garden, and tuck into some smoky flatbreads topped with fresh garden produce, all washed down with some refreshing garden inspired tipples. Opens Wednesday 18th September, pre-booking essential.
