Within three original red brick walls a formal garden has been created in 1995. Yew buttresses, arbours and four parterres use Dutch themes. The borders contain herbaceous plants and shrubs. The north facing border holds shade loving plants. There is a mulberry and walnut tree. The astrolabe was installed in 1997. A Victorian rockery is built from slag from ironworks in Boston. A large farmhouse garden featuring more than 120 old English rose varieties. Herbaceous beds with delphiniums, salvias, grasses, and another planted in hot reds and yellows with alstroemeria, Geum and sunflowers. A terrace with far-reaching views surrounded by lavender and a wildflower area with pathways, woodland walk, large fruit cage, apple orchard and vegetable garden.
