Mary Berry swaps her spatula for a garden trowel

Baking celebrity Mary Berry swaps her spatula for a trowel when she delivers the keynote speech at a special event in London, marking 90 years of the National Garden Scheme.

The event is at London’s Royal Geographical Society on October 31st and tickets cost £20.  Other speakers at the event include Lord Ashbrook whose family has opened its garden at Arley Hall, Cheshire for the NGS for four generations and The Daily Telegraph gardens columnist, Stephen Lacey.
