The main visual is a walled garden featuring a long white wisteria walk. This is set in the grounds of a Georgian rectory surrounded by parkland. The garden was redesigned in 1990 to incorporate climbers and herbaceous plants, with box parterres replacing the kitchen garden. Originally a field surrounding the derelict C17 listed farmhouse winning the Graham Allen Conservation Award in 1991 the garden structure, sympathetic to the Dutch style of the house was laid down. Knot garden of box surrounded by pleached hornbeam, pollarded plane trees, beech and yew hedges flank herbaceous borders and lawns, clematis and rose walk to potager and spiral wildflower meadow.
