Special Garden Events in Shropshire

David Austin Roses, Albrighton

Be part of an exclusive summer open weekend at the world-renowned, award-winning gardens of David Austin Roses. For the very first time, they are opening the garden gate to Mr Austin Senior’s private gardens – where the business began with the launch of his first rose in 1961, Constance Spry. In addition to having the opportunity to soak up the scent and explore his personal rose collection and experience over 700 beautiful rose varieties including the National Collection of English Roses in the six themed public gardens, open weekend visitors will be treated to music, garden games and typically English tea-time treats amongst the roses. You can also meander through the new plant centre shopping area and much-loved gift shop to take home a piece of the magic of David Austin. The David Austin open weekend runs in partnership with Stoke-based potter Emma Bridgewater and the duos ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ charity mug adorned with the vibrant sunshine-coloured namesake rose. Opens Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June. Pre-booking essential.
