Anya Lautenbach joins as NEW ambassador for the National Garden Scheme

The National Garden Scheme is delighted to announce that social media creator and Sunday Times and Irish Times bestselling author, Anya Lautenbach aka Anya The Garden Fairy, has joined the charity as an ambassador.
Commenting on her appointment, Anya says: “I’m thrilled and honoured to be asked by the National Garden Scheme to become one of their ambassadors.
“Over the years I have visited many wonderful National Garden Scheme gardens, and I have experienced the sense of community and joy that comes from visiting a beautiful private garden opened to the public by a lovely and a generous garden owner.
“I understand the positive impact the National Garden Scheme has on our society and the difference it makes to many lives.
“As a social media creator with a strong sense of community and a sense of responsibility for future generations, I would like to use my social media platform wisely and to leave behind something meaningful.
“I know that my collaboration with the National Garden Scheme will result in some great things and I look forward to working with the team and to supporting this wonderful charity.”
Commenting on Anya joining as an ambassador, Chief Executive Dr Richard Claxton said: “Having Anya join our team of ambassadors is wonderful news. I know her well and her passion for the wellbeing that can be found in all of our gardens shines through. She is a force for good, and I’m quite sure she will be a wonderful ambassador for the National Garden Scheme. Anya joins National Garden Scheme ambassadors Emma Bridgewater CBE, Fiona Bruce, Danny Clarke (aka the Black Gardener), Alan Gray, Rachel De Thame, Joe Swift and Jo Whiley.
