About 52 Elm Road

George Cadbury built some of the finest quality social housing in the world, with large gardens as he had promised and his legacy lives on today at the home of Jackie & Glen Twigg who have lived here for over 25 years; boasting one of the largest tenanted gardens on the estate at a length of 235ft.

On entry through the side gate into the south-facing garden, there is a comfortable and modern chill out seating area, full of potted plants and trinkets.

Walk on to the spacious patio with a small summerhouse, plenty of seats and it’s very own man cave!

The access leads to limestone borders with a selection of bright and colourful shrubs, bushes and trees.

A stroll along the garden leads to a greenhouse and blue and white “she shed” decorated with hanging baskets and a modern, bright interior. which continues towards the ‘secret garden’ with a large established koi fish pond; surrounding wildlife and further seating areas and a cottage garden.

The garden also has a pebble beach as you step up the top garden by the koi fish pond, with a real fishing boat, palm trees and deck chair to lounge in.

Towards the end there is a further cottage garden, full of colourful perennials and a real English country garden feel.
